They have released the official music video to the song "Cherry Bomb" from the movie The Runaways. This version has Dakota Fanning on vocals, since she plays the singer Cherry Curie in the movie.
I think she sounds alright. I prefer the original of course. Dakota Fanning's voice just isn't as deep or textured as Cherry Curie's. I am curious to hear the rest of the soundtrack since she covers a couple Runaways songs on it other than Cherry Bomb. For comparison purposes, here is the orignal version by the real Runaways.
I am still not sure who the target audience is for The Runaways. I mean it stars Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart so I guess it could be aimed at the Twilight crowd. But it also stars Scout Taylor-Compton in addition to them as overly sexual teen girls,so it could be aimed at horny young males. It could also be aimed at old people who actually liked The Runaways when they were still together. I guess it really doesn't matter who the target audience it, because I want to see it and thats probably all that reall matters (to me).
